Hon. Dorcas A. Oduor, the Attorney General was on 23rd August 2024, sworn in by the Chief Justice Madam Martha Koome as a Member of the Judicial Service Commission, in pursuant to Article 171(2)(e) of the Constitution. During the ceremony, the AG, promised her commitment to support the JSC core mandates and will advocate for the Executive expectations. She pointed out that access to justice being a driving force in the judiciary, the office of the Attorney General will support the Judiciary to achieve its mandates and core values.
The Chief Justice, Martha Koome congratulated Ms. Oduor on her appointment as the Attorney General and also for her being sworn in as a Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). The CJ, promised to fully support and work with the AG to ensure that both institutions delivers a people centered Justice system in Kenya. Furthermore, the CJ promised to act as a link between the Judicial Service Commission and the Executive branch as they both work towards the realization of the Constitutional Mandate of the Commission.
