The Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice (DOJ) over the Christmas holidays partnered with the Community at Nina Primary School in Siaya County to sensitize on the available public services that directly benefit the community.
The outreach programm was a collaborative effort with the local leadership which witnessed the community being provided with a platform to access information on government services that included Registration of Marriages offered by the Office of Attorney General, Digital jobs and Labour Mobility offered by the National Employment Authority (NEA).
The exercise covered Civil Registration Services consisting of Identity Card Registrations, Registration of Birth Certificates and Passport Services as well as other services that included the Cooperative Movement, Registration of Taifa Care and a Medical Camp.
To commemorate the occasion, Participants and community surrounding Nina Primary Schools planted 1500 tree seedlings as a contribution to the Go-green Presidential Directive on Tree Planning.
During the occasion, various soccer teams of both boys and girls participated in a soccer tournament and had an opportunity to compete against each other. The winning teams were presented with awards.
In attendance were the Hon. Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya Dorcas A. Oduor, Principal Secretary for Interior Dr. Raymond Omollo, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Ms. Faith Odhiambo, Area Member of Parliament Hon. Samuel Atandi, Nyando, Member of Parliament Hon. Jared Okello, Director General for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth and Dr. Ouma Oluga former Director Health Services at Nairobi Metropolitan Services.
