The Public Trustee provides families of the deceased with financial advances for school fees, maintenance,
medical expenses and other related expenses.
The payments are made payable within five (5) days.

- Written request for advance from the parent/ guardian/ widow/widower/children;
- Documentary evidence to support request for payment;
- Guardianship certificate where a minor has no surviving parent.
