The 8th Attorney General of the Republic Of Kenya has on Friday
morning taken the helm at the State Law Office committing to uphold the rule of law.
Attorney General Justin B.N. Muturi received the Constitution of Kenya, the instrument of authority from his predecessor Attorney General Emeritus Justice (Rtd.) Paul Kihara Kariuki who leaves office after serving for 4.5 years.
Speaking when he met respective Heads of Departments and affiliate Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies, AG Muturi commended the strength, skill, knowledge and capacity of officers encouraging them not to be swayed by negative perceptions bore out of ignorance about the work they perform.
He committed to facilitate the Office to the best of his ability while engaging with the Salaries and Renumeration Commission; he commits to get spacious accommodation is developed for the Office.
AG Emeritus encouraged him paraphrasing the words of Joshua in the Old Testament to “Be strong, very courageous and to stand by the Constitution without wavering.”
